Why is Twilight such a popular book series?

Question

Why is Twilight such a popular book series?
Is it like Anne Rices novels or Stephen King quotSalems Lotquot?

Answer

Twilight is nothing like Anne Rices novels. I havent read Salems Lot, but its not like any Stephen King novels Ive read either.brbrThe writing in the Twilight series is atrocious, the characters are completely flat and unchanging, and there are no particular morals or twists, nor is there thoughtfulness. The plot rise and resolution is also very weak. Its purely adolescent pulp romance with a touch of masochism and light horrorfantasy.brbrI guess people read it for the same reason that they read most other pop romance and pulp fiction, just for fun, or because they have completely unfounded concepts of love and emotion.
